We are a college ministry on five campuses across the D.C. metro area.

We engage students through evangelism and discipleship, equipping them to share the gospel and make a lasting impact for God’s glory. Starting 2010 at GW then at Georgetown, our ministry now serves five DC campuses.

Authority and supervision

We operate under the authority of Capitol Hill Baptist Church while maintaining an interdenominational presence, ministering to students and supporting churches committed to the essentials of the Christian faith.

  • Share your whole life

You weren’t meant to figure life out alone. At CO, we share our questions, what we’re learning, and the kind of late-night conversations that stay with you. It’s more than a club. It’s real life. Together.

  • Study the whole Bible

Sometimes the Bible is hard to understand, and even harder to believe. But if you’re tired, anxious, or struggling — a sinner in need of a Savior — we open our Bibles together to encounter Jesus, the Friend of sinners.

  • Speak the whole truth

We don’t have all the answers. But we do have a truth that holds: Jesus is alive, and He saves sinners. It’s the kind of hope that we can’t keep to ourselves. We share it so others might find the life we’ve found in Him.

Our mission

  • We exist to bring Him praise, honor, and glory as we find our joy in Him.

  • We pray that students graduate prepared not only to build their careers but to faithfully live out and share their faith.

  • College campuses are a key mission field where students make life-shaping decisions. This is a crucial time to call them to live by God’s Word.

  • Our vision is for alumni to become leaders in their unique vocations, churches, and global missions, making an impact in D.C. and around the world.

FAQs

What do you believe?

We believe the gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ lived, died, and rose again to save sinners. We hold to the historic truths of the Christian faith and submit to the authority of the whole Bible.

What if I’m not a Christian?

You’re welcome to come, listen, ask questions, and explore what Christianity is all about. We believe the claims of Jesus are worth considering seriously, and we’d be glad to think them through with you.

What happens in CO gatherings?

Our gatherings vary by campus, but often includes time in the Word and discussion. We also just spend time together hanging out, sharing meals, and enjoying the company.

Can I join if I’m part of another ministry?

We’re grateful for other college campus groups and believe students can benefit from various resources. We’re here to support and encourage you to get involved in a local church where you can be known, taught, and cared for.

Will I fit in?

Students come at all stages of their faith journey. We are a community where you can ask honest questions and build friendships who are both like you and different.
